Apartment in Bulgaria

Residential properties and especially apartments are the ones that are most common and most demanded types of properties. Apartments are preferred because they meet the needs of the average customer. At the other side the variety of apartments’ types offered at the Bulgarian property market cover rather large range of customers. Families, single businessman, foreign travelers or even students are amongst the customers. They can choose from studios, one bed roomed, two beds roomed, three or multi beds roomed or a maisonette to rent or buy. Each of these types has its advantages so it is up to the investor or the tenant to pick the one that suits him most. Studios and 1BRS apartments are compact and are the cheapest ones. In most of the cases they are rented by students or people who have business trips to certain city or town and need a place where to stay. Purchase of a studio or one bed roomed apartment is considered advantageous because of the low price and the incomes that will be gained if let out. 2 BRS apartments are the ones that are most demanded and are convenient for families. They can be bought or rented in almost every town and their prices differ in relation with the location. If you want to buy a property in the capital, in the big cities of the country or in ski or beach resorts, you better to be prepared to pay higher price. Apartments in small province towns are cheaper. Again the price depends on the location of the property itself- whether oh a high street in the centre of the town or in the quarters. Those on high streets are more expensive that the ones in the quarters. 2 BRS apartments are often bought off-plan. It is considered the most advantageous purchase because of the price difference. At the time the apartment is completed the price is already higher due to market forces. Three or multi bed roomed apartment is considered the purchase of the foreign investors attracted by the idea of having spacious apartment in a prestigious quarter or in a resort at a price quite lower compared to other European destinations. Maisonettes are reckoned property purchase of a good taste but at the other hand their construction features allow the second floor to be let out providing good rental incomes.
